Rafael Nadal has finally recovered from the foot injury which forced him to give up his title in the Australian Open last month. Full of confidence, the charming athlete said he is ready to perform on the Indian Wells game in California next March.
While practicing at an open field near his house at Mallorca, he explained that his right foot is recovering very well but still needs to undergo some treatments to perfect the condition. “Now I think we’ll just need to wait for couple of days until I can play normal again. I guess everything will get better, especially since I’m doing some exercise at the gym too,” expressed 23 years old Nadal when interviewed by Reuters.
Nadal plans to go back to the field soon after his recovery and he is determined to win the Masters Series on Indian Wells, California, in which he also won the tournament in 2007. “That tournament is the place where I always play well, so we’ll see what’s going to happen. This is my first event after the break and maybe it is going to be difficult to start a game after. I just hope I could play well and increase my confident on this game season” he said. On the other hand, there are still some concerns raised by many fans about his physical ability after the injury. His reply to this was, “I think I’m in a state where I am able to perform again. I have worked very hard to reach the condition of where I used to be before the injury. But this is sport, you never know when to start and end it”. –tan-
